While Outright does a lot, we realize there might be some things you'd like to do with your data that just can't be done in the application.  In that case, you can download your transactions to a CSV file and slice and dice to your heart's content! There are three ways to get your data out of Outright.

If you are want data during a certain date range or year, the best way to get your data is from the Profit and Loss Report. If you're looking for transaction-level information, you'll want to download your data.  But if you're looking for a higher-level summary, using the Export Report link will work just fine.

Here's how to download your transactions from the Profit and Loss Report:

1. Choose the Reports tab.
2. Select to view the Profit & Loss report by "Yearly" and update the dates to the range you're looking for.  Click the Update button.
3. Click the "Table" link at the top. (You can see it circled in red in the screenshot below).
4. Underneath the table of data you will see corresponding dates to the date range you selected.  Click the Download link below the year or time period you are interested in.

5. Choose to save the file, not open, in the default .csv format.
6. Open a spreadsheet program (such as Excel or OpenOffice) and open the file you just downloaded.

If on the other hand, you want to download all your transactions there are two ways to do so.

You can use a URL:

1. Log-in to your Outright account
2. Cut and paste, or type in the following URL: https://secure.outright.com/report/all_transactions.csv
3. Hit enter
4. You should see a popup box (depending on the browser, in chrome you should see a message at the bottom of your browser) asking you if you would like to download a CSV. Click yes, and save it somewhere you can easily find.
5. Open it in your favorite Spreadsheet program.

Or, you can use a link: (This only works for non-eBay users)

1. Log-in to your Outright account
2. Click on "Profile"
3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen
4. Click on the "exporting your data" link inside the text at the bottom
5. You should see a popup box (depending on the browser, in chrome you should see a message at the bottom of your browser) asking you if you would like to download a CSV. Click yes, and save it somewhere you can easily find.
6. Open it in your favorite Spreadsheet program.

While it won't have any formatting, it should have all the data you're looking for.  If you need multiple years of data you can combine files by copying from one and pasting into the other.

Fun fact: Most banks and financial institutions format data into a CSV file. CSV stands for "Comma Separated Values" file, and it is pretty standard across banks and credit cards, PayPal and other kinds of invoice software.
