eBay Billing Cycles: Why am I being billed a different amount than what you advertised?

There are three different types of plans through eBay.

One is our annual rate. If you signed up for the annual rate, you are billed $69.95 (this amounts to $5.82/mo.). This amount might be slightly different depending on when you sign up, and your monthly billing cycle inside of eBay.  This is a non-refundable charge that happens only once per year.

The second is our monthly subscription. If you signed up for the monthly subscription, after the 30-day free trial, your first bill will be slightly more than $6.95 on the first month ONLY.  This happens because eBay bills on specific days of the month:  usually the 15th or 30th .

For example: If you signed up on the 1st of the month, and your usual billing date is the 15th, eBay won't charge you until the second month of your active time. You will be charged for the month, plus 15 additional days. Each day of using Outright eBay charges $0.23. So, because you were charged on the 15th instead the first, you will be charged $6.95 + $0.23 per day. Your first charge would be $6.95 + $3.45, or approximately $10.40.

Please note: It might look like you are paying right away, but you will not be asked to pay until your 30 day free trial is over. Also, despite the fact that you are paying monthly, it might still appear to be an annual subscription.

The third is Free, which many of our users are currently enjoying for an extended trial period through September 30, 2012.
